Fanus assumed the position of CEO for Santam Broker Solutions in December 2023. Fanus graduated as an Industrial Engineer from the University of Pretoria. He started his engineering career in the food processing and pharmaceutical industries. In 1997 he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in their management consulting practice, and it was during this journey as senior management consultant that he first crossed paths with Santam. He joined Santam in September 2001 in a Business Process Improvement Manager role after which he progressed to lead several large-scale strategic transformation projects. In 2009 he was promoted into claims operations management, and he progressed to Executive Head of Claims before assuming his current role.
